Understanding Veterans Benefits Part Two: Q & A Session

For Immediate Release – August 4, 2011
Denver, Colorado

The Society of Certified Senior Advisors is excited to announce the second part of our powerful webinar series Understanding Veterans Benefits – What the VA doesn’t tell you. This webinar is a Q & A format that combines a list of questions submitted by attendees from the first series. Presenter, Carlotta Katra, will cover important questions such as:

  • “What are the three most common reasons why a Veteran or his/her spouse are denied benefits? Is divorce one of them?
  • “Does the tax break involve income tax, state tax, or local property tax? Which ones?
  • "It might be helpful to other CSA’s to address the issue of creditable drug coverage vs. late enrollment penalty (LEP) for Medicare Part D. VA does not cover all medications, but currently the VA Rx coverage is creditable – thereby, no LEP for enrollment. But, open enrollment is October 15- December 7 each year, to be effective January 1 of the following year."
  • This webinar series is being held on Thursday, August 11th at 12:00 (Noon) MST. Register Now!
